Char - regarding the factory saddlebag supports, I have them and i'm happy with them. The chrome is of high quality, the parts come ready to bolt on without problems and they are easy to put on with straightforward instructions that are well written and easy to follow for a novice non- mechanic. The problem of not being able to get them is most likely the dealers failure to place a timely order, not the unavailability of the part. Suzuki has several parts distribution sites and some are better/closer than others for quicker response to an order. Generally, all things being equal, I'll opt for the factory part first, but that's just me.
